Reflexology

Reflexology

Reflexology is a gentle, hands-on therapy that applies focused pressure to specific points on the feet, hands and ears. These points are believed to correspond to different areas of the body.

Using precise thumb and finger techniques, your therapist works through these points in a calm, unhurried sequence. Reflexology is designed to promote deep relaxation, ease tension and restore a sense of balance, making it a wonderful treatment for both body and mind.

Stress relief:

The rhythmic pressure and quiet focus of a reflexology session help calm the nervous system, easing stress and leaving you feeling grounded and at peace.

Rest and renewal:

Many clients find reflexology helps them unwind, sleep more soundly and feel more energised in the days after their treatment.

A treatment for everyone:

Because reflexology focuses on the feet and hands, you stay fully clothed. That makes it a comfortable choice if you’re new to bodywork or prefer not to have a full-body massage.

Before you book:

Reflexology may not be suitable if you have foot injuries, open wounds, a recent blood clot, or are in the first trimester of pregnancy. We’ll take you through a short health questionnaire before your first session.

What to expect

Before your first session we’ll go through a short health questionnaire and chat about how you’re feeling and what you’d like from the treatment. You stay fully clothed: you’ll simply remove your shoes and socks and settle in comfortably on the treatment table.

Your 45- or 60-minute session takes place in our quiet, home-based studio in Edgemead. Your therapist works through the reflex points on your feet, and on your hands and ears where helpful, using focused thumb and finger pressure in a calm, unhurried sequence. Most clients find it deeply relaxing.
